We are a family run farm and nursery over 100 years in operation.  In 1893, Casper Vogt, an orphaned German immigrant acquired the property  to run a self sustaining farm.  The extra produce that Casper grew on the farm was taken to Troy where it was sold at the public farmer's market.

Casper's son, George Voft Sr., was born in 1891, and he began the roadside market in 1930, which continues to operate today.  His son George Jr. took over the family business in 1954, and was instrumental in expanding its success as he built the first greenhouses, allowing them to grow the spring bedding plants and fall mums that George's is best known for.

George III, better known as "Bud", continues the business with his wife Cathy.  Today George's Market has expanded to include a full nursery.  Trees, shrubs, perennials, mulch and stone are only a few of the items we are proud to offer our valuable customers.
